The flat side is excellent for shaping, forming, and flatting irregularities on the surface and to add strength, stability, and alter wheel forms and hand-built clay works. It is also an indispensable tool for the sculpture artist. The convex side is great for compressing clay and knocking out the air bubbles. The handles are covered with soft foam rubber grip for uttermost comfort and pleasure to use.
