The Scott Creek Pottery Multi-Shape Coil Die for 4″ models is the ultimate in studio efficiency! No more tedious hand rolled coils – it’s time to make them in bulk and in whatever shape you need!

Our multi-shape Coil Die for 4″ models includes 16 different die shapes in one easy to use die. Simply use the matching backing plate and rotate the multi-shape die to your desired shape. Load the die and your clay and begin extruding more coils than you can shakle a stick at! The backing plate blocks the other shapes and only allows your selected shape to extrude.

The backing plate may not completely isolate a single coil shape, this is intentional as some of the coil shapes are too small and will make extruding difficult. More pressure relief means easier extrusions, recycle your clay waste or incorporate them into your work.

We always recommend extruding with soft clay to limit the strain on yourself and on your extruder and dies.

The die shapes may be altered to your taste with a variety of tools such as a small file, a drill, dremel/multi-tool or a saw to create your own unique die shapes. Please use caution and wear protective gloves and eyewear when working with metal.
