Advanced Soapmaking – Sea Salt Soap and BathBomb/Steamer Workshop
*This workshop is for those that have taken Soapmaking 101 (or have previous cold process soap-making experience)
Part 1– Students will be creating Sea Salt soap bars. Sea Salt soap has become a very popular soap with its creamy lather and skin loving qualities.
We will learn about the benefits of using Sea Salt soap and the ingredients needed. We will also learn how to adjust our recipe and special molding techniques. We will customize and add colour to your soap and also learn some basic design options that allow you to create your own soapy masterpiece.
Participants will mix, customize and mold your own bars and take home 12 bars of soap plus a bonus cupcake soap!
Part 2 – After a short break students will return to make their choice of either Bath Bombs or Shower Steamers.
Students will learn the ingredients, techniques and recipe for each of these fizzy bathing treats. We will customize with fragrance, additives and take home over 20 mini bath bombs or shower steamers.
All supplies, including a detailed handout containing all the information discussed during the class with recipes and instructions are included in this workshop.
**Participants must have legs covered and closed toed shoes.
**Safety glasses, aprons and gloves will be provided.
Students will add scent to their soap with fragrance oils provided. If they wish to use Essential oils they are welcome to bring their own to add in.
