Participants will be creating a chain necklace, a pair of earrings and, if time permits, a bead pendant. Please bring some charms and jewelry pieces that have meaning for you – if possible, they will be incorporated into the chain necklace. All other materials provided.
Sonja Horzelenberg is a retired educator and self-taught jewellery designer who is always on the lookout for sources of inspiration. She loves to combine interesting vintage and contemporary beads, baubles and adornments in order to create artistic jewellery that makes a statement.
Under the name, Sensations by Sonja, she has been showing her creations at various festivals and shows in the area including “The Locke Street Festival”, “Artist in the Alley” (Hamilton) , “Art in the Park” (Dundas), the “Christmas Makers Market” (Hamilton), “Concession Street Fest” as well as her annual Christmas Open House. Her jewellery is also featured in various shops in the Niagara region.
