Cityscapes or landscapes will be the subjects, as participants will : Block in big simple shapes, identify local value, and address colour temperature and saturation in their compositions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStudents will bring in a series of photos of land\/cityscapes and will be shown how to remove unnecessary information from photo reference. His paintings, mostly focus on landscapes as the subject. Void of people, these images are full of colour and value contrasts. Taking simple subjects, and making them dramatic, almost heroic. Influences from propaganda posters can be seen in his work. Architecture, old or new, plays an important part in his work as he uses large surfaces, light or dark, to create , and capture, an exciting moment in time. Working with watercolour or gouache, he works very direct , painting on location, in a small sketchbook or on large sheets.
