Outdoor Sketch & Watercolour Class – Hamilton Edition

Spend a relaxed afternoon sketching the quiet charm of Hamilton’s outdoor spaces. This class invites you to slow down and observe the everyday beauty around us — the mix of old brick buildings, quiet alleyways, rusted industry, native trees, and winding trails. This class is perfect for all levels

We'll wander through scenic spots that offer inspiring views — from cityscapes and historic buildings to lush greenery, waterfalls, and quiet nooks. Using pencil and watercolour, you'll learn how to capture the essence of a scene quickly and expressively. We'll focus on fast sketching techniques, playful colour washes, and observing light, texture, and composition in real-time.

Bring your sketchbook, pencils, and watercolours — we’ll bring the inspiration. Whether you're a beginner or looking to loosen up your drawing style, this is a relaxing, social, and creatively energizing experience in one of Ontario’s most dynamic landscapes.

Material list:

- Set of pencils including 2B

- Sketchbook, not to small, larger is easier to begin with, (also if you want to keep everything in the same sketchbook you will need to get a watercolour sketchbook)

- Watercolour paints (can be purchased later in the course)

- Watercolour brushes size 6 & 8

- Waterproof fine liners, I would recommend Micron fine liners size 1,2&3

In the event a class is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as inclement weather or other unforeseen situations, refunds will not be issued. However, the class will be rescheduled to ensure you don’t miss out on the experience. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility!

Credit Policy

Pottery Workshops: Credits can be issued if you provide at least 2 days' notice before the scheduled workshop. Unfortunately, credits are not available for other types of workshops.
