Studio Rental Agreement – Creative Insight Pottery

Looking for a professional pottery space to unleash your creativity? Our studio rental program is designed for experienced potters seeking a well-equipped and peaceful environment to work on their craft.

Rental Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience with clay and glazing or a minimum of one year of formal pottery classes.
• This rental program is not available for beginners.

Terms of Rental:

• Initial rental term is 2 months, after which the agreement is automatically renewed on a month-to-month basis.
• Cancel anytime with one month’s notice.

Studio Access & Features:

• Full access to:
  • Pottery wheels, slab roller, sink, tools, and more.
  • Shared space: Approximately 1,000 sq. ft. (maximum members allowed at a time to maintain a peaceful atmosphere).
  • Kitchenette: Includes a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and water cooler.
  • Private Shelving: Dedicated member shelves for personal storage.
• Clay must be purchased from the studio: $38/bag plus hst (includes firing, labor, and glazes).
• Rental Fee: $130/month.

Schedule:

• Studio hours are shared based on our class schedule, which may vary from term to term. The weekend schedule is updated weekly and sent out every Friday.

Studio Rules & Guidelines:

• Use Restrictions: Studio is strictly for pottery, ceramics, or related artistic activities. No guests or additional persons (friends, family, or colleagues) are allowed.
• Cleanliness: Renters must clean and maintain the space after use, including sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning tools, wheels, and sinks.
• Security: Renters are responsible for locking the studio and turning off lights after each session.

Liability & Damage:

• Renters are responsible for any damage to equipment, furniture, or the studio.
• Waiver of Liability: Creative Insight Pottery and its owners are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred while on the premises. Renters assume full responsibility for their safety and personal belongings.
