Common questions
Can I try wheel throwing once before signing up for a term?
Yes — the 1-Day Wheel Throwing class is exactly that: one session on the wheel with clay, firing, and glazing included, no ongoing commitment.
Is wheel throwing suitable for kids?
The Parent & Child Wheel Throwing & Sculpting class takes kids 10 and up working alongside a parent. Younger children start with hand building in the kids' pottery classes.
How long until I can throw a decent bowl?
Most students centre clay and pull simple cylinders within their first two or three sessions, and finish recognizable bowls and mugs by the end of a 10-week term.
